GLV is Now 248 Builders!

Babson, Olin, and Wellesley (BOW) Colleges’ only student-run venture capital group is rebranding as 248 Builders.

The new name encompasses the inherent nature of the group to move BOW startups forward. The numbers 248 are about creating momentum: they form an exponentially increasing sequence. As a VC group, we want to be the catalyst to creating the momentum all startups need to endure into the future. The use of the word “Builders” also speaks to our desire to build the entrepreneurial community and more importantly, become active participants rather than passive observers.

Our mission at 248 Builders is to provide capital and resources to BOW startups while also facilitating greater collaboration between the three schools. Since our official launch in August 2020, we’ve strived to become a true value add for the greater entrepreneurial community; whether it be through our blog posts on new venture creation, AMAs with industry experts, or our one-on-ones with founders, our goal is to build upon the current entrepreneurial ecosystem and move BOW startups forward.

As the academic year comes to an end, we are motivated more than ever to bring even greater value to the BOW community once classes commence in September.
